From volunteering to in-class activities, parents are an important part of the OHDS campus experience.
Parents play a big role in the OHDS community. We have all-campus volunteering activities, like the honored tradition of spaghetti lunch, as well as classroom specific opportunities, like writing or math support.
In addition, we invite parents to campus for celebrations and classroom visits. Students love seeing parents come to school for in-class birthday snacks, “open tefillah” days – when morning prayers are shared between generations, and lifecycle events such as in-school bnei mitzvah Torah readings.
